BIO-TREATMENT IN MANDARIN: USA

BIO-TREATMENT IN MANDARIN: USA

About the project

M & G Farms, Inc., a citrus farm established in 1977 in the USA, has consistently harnessed decades of agricultural expertise to cultivate premium quality mandarin oranges. In May 2017, they initiated a groundbreaking biotreatment on their Murcott mandarin crop using ACF SR & SR Plus. This treatment was meticulously tailored to align with the specific cultural practices and the developmental stages of the mandarin plants.

The biotreatment aimed to enhance the overall health and productivity of the citrus trees. By integrating the application of ACF SR & SR Plus into the regular care schedule, M & G Farms sought to optimize nutrient uptake and bolster the plants' natural defenses, fostering more robust growth and resilience against potential environmental stresses.

The outcomes of this innovative treatment were nothing short of remarkable. The 2017 harvest saw a significant production increase of 64% over the previous year and 12% over the 2015 season, which had previously set the record for yield. Additionally, the quality of the fruit was outstanding, with the mandarins not only achieving but surpassing the United States #1 (US#1) quality standard. This top rating was attributed to the fruit’s impeccable appearance, uniform size, and excellent health, making them completely free of blemishes and defects. These exceptional results underscore the effectiveness of the biotreatment in enhancing both the quantity and quality of the mandarin oranges produced by M & G Farms, solidifying their reputation as a leader in the citrus industry.
